Before the first shift, work out the maximum number of people who will need the facilities at once. Include subcontractors and later phases of the project. Tell us the work schedule and whether occupants will also use the rental while the building’s bathrooms are closed.
For a Chico residential job, agree on placement with the homeowner and contractor together. Measure a side gate before relying on a backyard spot. On a commercial property, give us the active delivery entrance and a contact who can keep it available for service.

California Title 8 section 1526 calls for one separate toilet facility per 20 employees or fraction of each sex. It also covers all-gender arrangements and an exception permitting one single-user facility where fewer than five employees are employed. Use the actual workforce and applicable provisions when planning with the site supervisor.

Washing is a separate part of the construction plan. Section 1527 requires at least one station per 20 employees or fraction, supplied with water, soap and hygienic drying. With non-water-carriage toilets, washing stations must be outside and unattached; the rule has an exception for fewer than five employees with one toilet facility.

Work above ground level
If work takes place on upper floors, ask about a high-rise unit and its specified lifting equipment. The project team must coordinate the lift and safe placement for the supplied configuration. Describe how the unit will be reached for service before choosing it.
