Choose an accessible portable restroom by the actual model, then give it a usable place on the site. Our range includes PolyJohn Comfort XL, We’ll Care III and Satellite Freedom. Comfort XL offers wheelchair-accessible space; a designated ADA model is the choice when ADA facilities are required.
Start the access check where the guest arrives. Follow the route from parking or the gathering to the toilet entrance, looking for curbs, loose surfaces and obstacles. The equipment and the route need to work together.

A firm route, a clear entry and room to turn.
A level base keeps the unit stable, but access also depends on the surface leading to it. Plan a firm, stable approach and clear door space. Keep decorative screens, power leads, vendor queues and parked vehicles away from the entry.
For grouped portable toilets, the U.S. Access Board specifies accessible units at a minimum of 5% of each cluster. Round upward to a whole unit: 20 toilets need at least one accessible unit; 21 need at least two. Check every cluster on a dispersed event site.

Plan accessibility before finalizing the event map.
At a Chico public event, mark the accessible restroom and washing route before assigning vendor spaces. Include lighting for later use. The Access Board also describes an exception for units exclusively used by construction personnel; discuss the project’s actual users and access requirements before selecting equipment.
